I am an Approved Supervisor for Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates in Washington State and bring 18 years of experience in the therapy chair to my work as a mentor to emerging therapists who are interested in developing their skills as in-person clinicians.

Perhaps you graduated during the pandemic and have limited experience with working with clients in-person but really want to? Come join me in my cozy office for a cup of tea and a warm, nurturing and judgement-free space.

Graduate school equips us with theories and skills, but studies show that the most important factor for success with clients is the therapeutic relationship. With this in mind, my approach to supervision is primarily focused on helping you develop self-as-therapist skills like attunement, genuineness and embodied presence.

I offer:

  • A tender space to make mistakes and ask tough ethical questions without fear of judgment

  • A balance of structure and spontaneity that we will co-create together

  • Skill-building for becoming a politicized healer, balancing creating a decolonized therapy practice with staying compliant with ethical and legal requirements

  • Skill-building for navigating hard conversations with clients while staying calm and embodied

  • Skill-building to have conversations with clients about power and privilege starting in the first session

  • Referrals! My practice is consistently full and I love setting my supervisees up to succeed. In some cases, short-term sublet of my downtown office on Fridays or weekends may also be a possibility

Click these links on my general website to learn more about my areas of focus, my approach to therapy and my background. Cost for supervision will be based on your average fee per client and is revisited as you build your practice and income and I welcome supervisees who want to double-up to save money.

I offer a free 20-minute in-person consultation to all potential supervisees. Email me with questions or to set up a consultation.
