COVID-19 And Contagious Illness Safety Measures

(Last Update: December 2025)

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and take immunosuppressant medication. For this reason, please switch to virtual sessions if you're feeling ill rather than coming to the office.

Air Quality: To prevent transmission of COVID and other viruses, I maintain multiple HEPA air purifiers in my office, including a state-of-the-art Mila purifier (https://www.milacares.com) that tracks eight air quality measurements in real-time. I keep a window cracked at all times (with ample heating available) and am happy to mask in session if you prefer a closed window or for any other reason.

Physical Distancing: Office furniture is arranged to maintain 9 feet of distance between us.

Hygiene: Common surfaces are cleaned and sanitized daily, I wash my hands between clients, and I ask that you remove your shoes before entering my office (shoes may stay on in the waiting room).

Exposure Protocol: If either of us is exposed to COVID, flu, or develops symptoms of illness, we'll suspend in-person sessions until testing negative and being symptom-free. If you contract COVID or flu, please notify me immediately so I can isolate, test, and inform anyone you may have encountered at my office.

Since returning to in-person sessions in 2022, these safety measures have successfully prevented any reported transmissions of COVID or other illnesses in my office—even when either I or a client tested positive the day after an appointment.
