Are You Longing for Someone to Truly Get You?

Let’s embrace your unmasked, wholehearted humanity…

You're looking for therapy that feels real.

Maybe you've been in therapy before and it helped, but something was missing. Or maybe this is your first time and you're not sure what to expect, but you know you need more than surface-level advice.

You want someone who can handle complexity. Someone who won't be intimidated by your questions about meaning, mortality, or whether any of this matters. Someone you can be fully honest with.

I've been doing this work for over 20 years, and I still love it.

I work with people who often feel like outsiders—creative professionals trying to make art and make a living, LGBTQIA+ folks navigating a world that wasn't built for them, people wrestling with big existential questions, and people who've realized their relationship with technology has taken over their lives.

My office is in Belltown is sunlit, filled with books and plants, with a comfortable couch and a cup of tea waiting for you. I practice in-person because I believe something important happens when two people are actually in the same room together. No screens between us. Just presence and attention.

What working with me looks like:

We'll start by figuring out what you're actually trying to accomplish—real, specific goals that matter to you. Then we'll work together to get there.

I'm warm and relational, but I'm also direct. I'll meet you where you are, and I won't waste your time. Some people work with me for a year or two on a focused issue. Others come back periodically over years because they know this is where they do their deepest work.

My work draws from a broad palette: existential therapy, EMDR (including attachment-based EMDR), psychodynamic approaches, polyvagal-informed therapy, parts work, mindful self-compassion, and feminist relational-cultural theory. But I'm not rigid about method—I use whatever actually helps you. Sometimes that's EMDR for trauma, sometimes it's structure and goal-setting, sometimes it's just real conversation. What matters is whether it's working.

How Do I Help?

My practice is focused on client strengths and possibilities rather than deficits or pathology and I will strive to tailor your therapy specifically to your needs rather than asking you to fit your reality into a particular theory or school of thought.

About Me

I use an anti-oppression lens in my work with clients and have a passion for social change on both the macro and micro levels. I believe that individual transformation through therapy is micro social change that can benefit the world at-large.
