Welcome to my website, and congratulations on taking the first step toward getting the support you need.

My continuing passion is to part a curtain, that invisible veil of indifference that falls between us and that blinds us to each other’s presence, each other’s wonder, each other’s human plight.
— Eudora Welty

Welcome to my website, and congratulations for taking the first step to getting the help you need!

On this site, you can learn a little more about me, the types of clients and issues I work with, my approach to therapy, my fee structure, and my office location.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor located in downtown Seattle. I offer a free initial 20-minute consultation to all potential clients, and have flexible hours, including some evening availability.

After 19 years in practice, I’m old school and believe in the power of in-person therapy. I offer a welcoming waiting room, cup of tea, and office filled with sunlight, books, artwork and plants. It’s important to me to provide a space with no digital distractions or screen between us. For this reason, I am only accepting clients and supervisees seeking in-person therapy and have attended carefully to COVID safety.

I know that finding the right therapist can be daunting. Please feel free to call me with questions, or to set up a consultation to see if we could work well together.

Who Do I Help?

I work with adults and adolescents, specializing in counseling those who experience themselves as outsiders to dominant culture and feel "other" due to lifestyle, oppression or societal and family bias.

How Do I Help?

My practice is focused on client strengths and possibilities rather than deficits or pathology and I will strive to tailor your therapy specifically to your needs rather than asking you to fit your reality into a particular theory or school of thought.

About Me

I use an anti-oppression lens in my work with clients and have a passion for social change on both the macro and micro levels. I believe that individual transformation through therapy is micro social change that can benefit the world at-large.
